Finished it!!

Just in case you were wondering... I did it, I finished Shantaram, the book that is over 900 pages (with very fine print, I might add!!). It took over 2 months, but it is done!! I have to admit, I am kind of proud of myself... Considering the Fountainhead failure!

So, what did I think?? Overall it was OK.... I am questioning whether the author needed 900 pages to get the point across.... Could have done so in half... I am just thinking....

Now, on to another book.... Yes, this is reading thing is kind of nice. However, I have now a stack of magazines that are neglected (and seriously out of date).

Friday Night!!

Its Friday Night and I am hanging out with the kiddies... Vim is out on a 'guys night out' and I am with Mira and Milan plus 3 other kids.... It actually feels nice to just hang out with the little ones!!

Funny Communication

So, just to give a little background, over a few weeks back we had a really heavy rain storm at night. As a result, several houses within Ozone had water intrusion/damage. Ours was very minimal, but being the tenants that we are, we informed the landlord. So here is an email that he sent out to get it addressed:

Dear Captain Kumbelkar

I take reference to the telecon we had yesterday.

As regard to the leakage from the roof which is dampening the walls in our villa, you had assured me that you will take up this matter directly with M/s Perfect Builders.

As we have tenanted the villa to a prestigious company and the occupants are very high profile executives, we do not want to cause any discomfort to them because of any constructional deficiencies. Hence may I request you co ordinate the same with Perfect Builders and take necessary action to rectify the problem immediately.
